The Founding Partners of M&A Fusiones y Adquisiciones
Our founding partners understood that in a Spain that had just joined the European Economic Community, mergers and acquisitions would become a decisive factor in gaining scale and competitiveness.
The mergers and acquisitions sector has evolved rapidly: corporate transactions were very rare in the 1980s, but today they have become a recurring practice, with prospects of even greater development ahead. This change has been driven by new instruments and players that have altered how the buying and selling of companies is understood and approached.
A sector this dynamic requires people with the experience and skills to embrace that constant innovation and put it at the client’s service. Professionals with the empathy needed to understand those involved in a transaction, people from worlds as different as the family-owned SME, the large corporation or financial investors (private equity, venture capital, family offices, etc.).
This is supported by the experience accumulated since 1986, when the founding partners, Carlos Güell de Sentmenat, José María Viedma, Juan Alberto Valls-Jové, Carlos Cuatrecasas and Jordi Alberich, were joined almost immediately by Ramon Palacín.

Today, M&A Fusiones y Adquisiciones stands out for its high percentage of successfully completed transactions. This is a reality built on the ability of its managing partners and on a methodology that has been refined and adapted to, and at times has anticipated, the changing reality of selling companies.
